If I could take five objects to the afterlife they would be an Edgar Allen Poe book, a lighter, my toothbrush and toothpaste and my phone. I believe that these objects would reveal I was educated and a clean person. They may misinterpret the phone and think I was vain or they nah misinterpret the lighter and think I was a pyromaniac.

The body parts that define us as humans are our limbs (arms, legs, head). I would least want to live without my head and legs so even if I looked deformed I would still be able to walk and think. If we resized our parts we would either look like bobble heads or very weird aliens.

The Portrait of Stephen Colbert is art and it isn't because it expresses beauty in its own way ,as all art does, but it does not have a clear idea or meaning to it. Usually in art there is some type of meaning or idea the artist is trying to get across to you but if you look at if from an "art is something that is human made" you can definitely see how it would be classified as a piece of art.

Content: In the center of this plaque, out of the many that are in display, is the King of Benin in Nigeria during the 13th century. On either side if him are Portuguese traders kneeling before the king, indicating the hierarchial nature of royal power in Benin. Portugese were regarded as symbols if the king's wealth and power and they also show how people perceived Portuguese traders and show the aspects of Benin court life.

Context: The plaques were created by the Edo people during the 13th century and have been seen by anyone who once visited the palace.

Function: This piece, along with many others like it, were made to be put in the Nigerian King's palace.

I am a quiet person. I like to draw but don't have much experience with it. I'm in love with Shakespeare.

If I could change one thing about myself it would be my antisocial ways and the fact that I hate people in general.

I expect to gain more knowledge about art and the different kinds if art from taking AP Art History.
